In October I was called as the Young Women Secretary. So this spring I had the chance to go to Youth Conference with the kids. They went to a place called Aspen Grove for the weekend. I wasn't able to go Friday night because I needed to stay with my kiddos, but apparently they had a cool magician come and do tricks and talk about deception.
I went up there on Saturday morning and was really worried about leaving Sophie and Aspen. It was the longest I had ever been away from them. But Youth Conference was fun. I went cross country skiing with one of the girls (the rest whimped out) who had never been before. And we spent lots of time playing Mafia, but unfortunately they liked to kill me in the first round or two every time so it wasn't much fun. And Sophie and Aspen were fine when I got home.
