- Sophie is still in 1st grade. She loves going to school and playing with her friends. She loves the crafts and projects she gets to make at school. But she does not love doing homework at night.
- Sophie has so many friends. She likes to include everyone and had to come up with a recess schedule so she could be sure to take turns playing with everyone who wants to play with her. (I suggested she invite them all to play together, but what do I know?)
- Sophie still loves arts and crafts. She always write and draws cute cards and pictures. She convinced Isaac to make me a special craft for Valentine's Day. And she made me a card for my half birthday (which I completely forgot about myself).
- Sophie is a good big sister. She helps take care of Luke a lot if he's crying and she loves playing with Aspen. I know that Aspen misses her so much while she's at school every day.
- She is not girly. Unlike Aspen, she doesn't care at all about clothes or hair.
- She loves to read and one of my favorite things to do everyday is read a book with her. We've read the first 3 Harry Potter books, 2 Fablehaven books, and are now almost done with the Tuesdays at the Castle series.
- Sophie still loves to cuddle. Some days she wakes up a little early just so she can come snuggle in bed with mama for a few minutes.
- Sophie has lost 3 teeth now. She lost the two on the bottom and one on the top. Luke crashed into her one day and knocked her top tooth out. She freaked out for a few minutes, but it was probably better it happened that way so she didn't twist it around for 2 weeks. She also left this cute note for the Tooth Fairy.
- Sophie is OBSESSED with dogs and puppies. She plays "puppy club" at recess. They have puppy names and a puppy cheer. She goes around the house yelling "Calling all Puppy Club" and howling constantly. She has asked for a puppy in soooooo many ways, multiple times a day. Eventually Isaac and I had to be really stern with her about not getting a puppy because she was so persistent about asking us.
Sophie is such a great girl. I think that often we are too hard on her because she's so smart and capable. We have to remember that she is only 6 1/2. But she's growing up into such a beautiful and amazing girl.
