Hazel is 10 Month Old

Hazel just keeps growing and growing.  I can't believe 10 months has gone by so quickly.  She officially passed the point where she has been outside longer than she was inside me.  My little girl is so beautiful (but she's sure a hard thing to get a picture of because she never sits still long enough).  Here are some things about Hazy:

  • Hazel has been sleeping terribly.  She used to be my best sleeper, but lately she has been up every hour in the night.  I think it started on some of the vacations we were on because I let her sleep in bed with me for a little while so she didn't wake everyone else up.  And now she just wants me all night.  We need to figure something out.
  • Hazel is a Mama' girl.  She wants me all the time.  And whenever someone else tries to grab her, she turns and clings to me as hard as she can.  It's sweet, but super inconvenient.  She sometimes lets Sophie and Aspen hold her, but doesn't really like them to.

  • Hazel still hates baby food.  I force her to eat some for breakfast.  She never like the vegetables or meat ones, so I finally quit trying to feed those to her.  She definitely has a sweet tooth.  But she just doesn't ever seem to be very hungry.  She cries every time we put her in her high chair.  What kind of baby doesn't like eating?
  • But she has fallen asleep in her high chair a few times.  Once I got a super funny and cute video.
  • Hazel is a crawling machine.  She has started getting into things and dumping.  I had to put elastics on all the cupboard doors to keep her out of things.  But she's a sneaky little thing and crawls around so quietly that she can get into things without me noticing.
  • Hazel loves being outside.  Any time the garage door opens she crawls over there as fast as she can to go out.  And she gets super mad if I'm just going to the garage freezer or something.
  • She is still such a sweet, happy girl.  Hazel smiles very easily.  She doesn't laugh as easily and seems to really watch and take everything in.  It's been fun to see her personality come out a little more.  But I'm worried she's getting too opinionated in her old age.
Hazy is such a wonderful little girl.  She lives in a crazy, loud house and I often feel like she doesn't get enough undivided attention.  But we love her so much.
