Spring is Coming

Isaac and I have decided that the worst thing about living in Milwaukee is that the winters are 9 months long. It felt like the cold weather would never end. But this last week has been really nice. The trees are starting to blossom and grow leaves, and the flowers are coming out. We had some really pretty flowers pop out of our garden this week. (See picture below.) At first the flowers looked like tulips, but they have purple veins on the leaves. When it is sunny, the petals open and they don't look like tulips. I am not sure what kind of flower they are, but we really like them.
