Sunday Adventure

Today Isaac and I woke up from our Sunday nap and decided to go for a little drive before making dinner. I wanted to drive down to the lake shore near the art museum. So we headed out without looking up directions before hand. This was the first time since moving here that I have actually driven around downtown Milwaukee just to see the sites. The downtown is actually pretty nice. We found the art museum, and even though we didn't go inside, we took a few pictures. The architecture is really cool.


Apparently the sails of the building open and close at certain times of the day. The sails make the building look a lot like a yacht sitting on the dock. The weather was really warm at our house today, but it is always cooler by the lake so I needed to wear a jacket.


There is some weird orange thing at the front of the building. (Apparently I am not a fan of modern art, because I think it is kind-of ugly.)


But there were some pretty fountains, that you can't see well in this picture. We also walked down along the lake shore. There were people out everywhere. It was a lot of fun. There were people walking, roller blading, biking, flying kites, and just enjoying the warm weather. We decided there are lots of fun activities going on around here, we just need to get out an experience things a little more.

In order to help us get out and explore Milwaukee, I decided we are going to go on a hunt for the Bronze Fonz. (The old show "Happy Days" was set in Milwaukee. So last summer they made a big deal about the building of a bronze statue of Fonzie.) The rules are that Isaac and I can't look up the location of the Bronze Fonz. We just need to drive around and explore until we find it. Any of our local Milwaukee friends are welcome to join the hunt. For those of you out of staters, you can't spoil the fun by sending us clues. :)
