Sophie Started Preschool!

This August Sophie started her first year of preschool.  Originally I wasn't planning on sending her to preschool at 3 years old.  I only went to one year of preschool and thought it was unnecessary to send her that early.  But Sophie loves nursery.  She loves being around other kids and playing.  And she loves learning.  So I decided that she would probably have a great time at preschool, even though she already knew everything they were going to be learning about.  The bishop's wife, two houses down the street, teaches a preschool in her basement.  Since it was so close and other kids she knew from the neighborhood would be going, I signed her up.  It is only two days a week for two hours, so she still gets to spend most of her time with me.

So far Sophie loves preschool.  She learns a letter, number, color, and animal every day.  She gets to play with other kids her age.  And they have class parties for holidays and will be going on two field trips to the fire station and Wheeler Farm.  I think she is learning a lot about sitting and listening to a lesson and having someone in authority besides her parents.  I can't believe how big my little girl is getting.
