We did lots of fun things this summer. Here are some of them in picture form.
Splash Parks:
One day Isaac came home early from work, so we decided to go check out the new splash park that was built west of our house. As we were leaving it started to get stormy. So there really weren't many people at the park. But then out of nowhere, Jarem, Tressa, and Afton appeared. We didn't even know they were in Utah. But we randomly met them at a park in the middle of nowhere.
Swinging:
Sophie and Aspen love swinging. We spent lots of time at various parks, Grandma's house, and in our backyard swinging.
Aquarium:
I bought an aquarium pass at the old aquarium for a really cheap price. But they built a new aquarium and the pass transferred over. So the girls and I went to the aquarium lots of times before Sophie turned three and we had to pay admission for her. Sophie loved the aquarium. She would run around so excited yelling the names of the animals she saw. Aspen was great there too until she started walking, and then she didn't want to ride in the stroller anymore. But she couldn't walk in appropriate directions either.
State Fair:
We also went to the state fair. They had a really cute little farm where the kids could feed and milk a fake horse, grow crops, gather chicken eggs, and take things to market. We also had lunch there where Aspen thoroughly enjoyed an ice cream cone.
Wheeler Farm:
One day when Isaac was home, we went to Wheeler Farm. Sophie and Aspen love going there to play on the playground and see all the animals. Usually we go without daddy, so this was a special treat to have him come along.
