Luke is 5 Years Old!

In January Luke turned 5 years old.  His birthday is so close to Christmas it makes finding presents for him really difficult.  Luke wanted to have an Alligator Birthday Party this year.

But we got Luke donuts for his birthday breakfast because they are his favorite.  And then we had a friend party at a place called "Kidstopia".  It's an indoor playground, like a really big McDonald's playplace.  He invited a few of his neighbors friends, and there were a few spots left so the girls invited some friends as well.  We got pizza and played there for a few hours.  It was a lot of fun.

I was invited to come to Luke's preschool for a few minutes while they celebrated Luke.

Later we had Grandma Sugar and Grandpa Dee, Jamie, Steve, and Kevin over for cake.

Here are some things about Luke:

  • Luke is super active and always running around bouncing off everything.  He gets in trouble multiple times a day for jumping on the couch or climbing on the counters.
  • He is super sweet and loves to smile and laugh.
  • Luke is NOT a good listener.  We have to tell him things multiple times and then usually end up yelling before he pays attention to what we are telling him.  We are both working on this.
  • Luke loves playing with friends and his buddy Jett comes over almost every day at 1pm.  He has become so dependent on Jett that he doesn't know how to play by himself anymore.
  • He definitely gets in trouble for picking on Hazel the most.  He is always stealing the toys she is playing with, pushing her down, or just being mean.  He thinks he is playing, but every time Hazel cries we all yell "Luke, leave her alone" because 99% of the time he is tormenting her in some way.
But Luke is my little buddy and loves to cuddle.  He can be so sweet and funny.  He's all boy and I often feel bad that he is stuck in a family of all sisters.  We love our Luke-man.
