St. George Trip

In June we went on a trip to St. George with Lacey and her family.  We rented a condo together that had 2 master suites and a room with 4 beds that Sophie, Aspen, James, and Avery slept in.  It was really nice.  We stayed in a different unit at the same place before, so the kids were excited to go back and swim in the waterfall swimming pool.

The next day we went to Sand Hollow Reservoir.  It was supposed to be windy this day, so we got there as early as we could.  We had 2 duckies to paddle around.  And the kids had a lot of fun swimming in their life jackets and playing in the sand.

After a little while I went and rented a Wave Runner for a few hours.  I thought this was a lot of fun and let you get our farther to see more of the lake.  We all had fun taking turns driving it around with the kids.

Lacey and Justin and Isaac and I also decided to take turns having a date night.  So one night they watched all the kids while we went out.  Isaac and I went to a Mexican restaurant and a movie.  While we were gone, the kids played at the volcano park with their cousins.

Aspen was being a stinker and refused to be in this picture.

The next day we hiked around Pioneer Park and went through the mini slot canyons.

Then we went to the Virgin River to play in the water.  But there was only a few inches flowing at this time of year.

Then we stopped at a yummy pizza place for lunch. And Luke spilled his water all over me.  That night after feeding Avery 3 hot dogs for dinner, we took all the kids to see Incredibles 2 while Lacey and Justin were on their date.  It was wild to have 6 kids under 7 years old at the movie (especially while sitting on the front row).  But they really enjoyed the movie.

The next day we packed up and headed home.  It was a short trip, but we had a really good time.  Our kids all get along really well for the most part.  It's a lot of fun to have cousins all the same ages.  We will definitely need to do this again some time.
