On the first or second egg, Luke discovered they had candy inside them. So he gave up looking for eggs and focused on eating the candy. He'd only look for another egg as soon as the one he had ran out of candy.
The kids also got their Easter baskets. Sophie and Aspen got some cute new dresses from Grandma Sugar. And Luke got a light saber (ie: a whacking stick) so he was happy.
We also died eggs before church. I read something online about adding dye to dry rice and putting the egg in and shaking it. So we tried it that way. It was less messy in terms of not spilling dye everywhere or waiting forever for those tablets to dissolve. But it did get colored rice all over the floor. The eggs looked pretty cool and speckled that way.
I wanted to take a picture of the kids in their cute Easter clothes. The lighting wasn't the greatest, but I still think they turned out fairly well.
