Spring Soccer

This spring the girls played soccer again.  Sophie was on a green team called the "Green Alligator Pickles".  Sophie is getting pretty good at soccer.  She stays outside the bunch a little bit and is frequently in the right spot for when the ball pops out.  She had quite a few really long runs and almost made a few goals.  Even though she didn't score all season, she had quite a few assists.  She's becoming a lot of fun to watch.

Aspen was on a yellow team named the "Lemon Heads".  Aspen had a really good coach who had a ton of energy and was really good with the kids.  The 3 year old division is really fun to watch because kids are always doing random things.  Aspen was definitely not very interested in soccer this time (she's still young).  She was always excited to put on her uniform and "go to soccer", but she like to sit on the side.  She was so lazy about running and would absolutely wither if it was warm outside.  Aspen struggles with things she has to work at.  We are trying to encourage her, but she gives up easily if things are hard.  I know she could be a really awesome soccer player if she tried.  But now we are just focusing on having fun.
