I saw a good deal to ride the Heber Creeper with the Easter Bunny, so I asked Lacey and Tressa if they wanted to come with us. We went up there Friday afternoon and rode the train. It was so much fun to have all the cousins there together.
At the train station there were some baby animals for the kids to pet and a magician. The kids all loved petting the animals. Isaac tried to get Luke to pet the animals, but he would just poke them with on finger.
Sophie was excited to meet the Easter bunny, but Aspen was afraid of them and refused to have her picture taken with one without daddy there.
Then we got on the train. We walked through car after car and they were all full, so we were worried we wouldn't be able to sit together. But at the very last car (after going through the snack car) we found seats together. Most of the cousins sat together and they were laughing and having a great time. Surprisingly Sophie and James seemed to be the most excited. I was worried they might be a little too old to enjoy it, but they had a blast. Aspen, Avery, and Afton still looked a little confused. Isaac and I had Luke on our bench and he kept trying to escape, so Grandma Karla held him and he was a perfect little angel.
The Easter bunnies walked around the train station and were on the train to give each kid an egg. Earlier in the day Sophie asked what I thought would be in the egg. I said, "maybe a baby bunny". She got so excited because she's been trying to convince us to get 2 bunnies for a while. So I felt a little bad when I told her I was just joking. But those kids were so excited to see the little knick-knack they found in their egg.
After the short train ride the kids watched the magic show. The magician was super cheesy for adults, but the kids thought he was hilarious. They were laughing and laughing the whole time. Even though his jokes weren't the greatest, he did some really cool magic tricks.
The Easter bunnies were walking around the train station and Luke was fascinated with them. He would follow them around, but every time they would turn around and see him, he would run away. He would try to poke them before they saw him. One time he was sneaking up on a bunny, but it turned around and startled him so he whipped around to escape and bonked his head on a light pole. It was sad, but also really funny to watch him.
Then we went out for ice-cream and shakes in Heber. It was a ton of fun.
