Aspen is 1 Month Old

It has been very interesting having two children.  My pregnancies were quite different, and Sophie and Aspen definitely have different personalities.  Here are some observations about Aspen during her first month:

• Aspen is a very sleepy baby.  She sleeps and sleeps and sleeps.  Sophie was much more alert and I wondered how other parents were able to get their kids to sleep so much.  Aspen only wakes up to eat and then falls asleep again.  So she is a fairly easy baby at this point.
  
• Aspen is an ornery baby when she is awake.  She doesn't seem to know what to do with herself when she is awake, so she just fusses until we can get her to fall asleep again.
  
• She is a cluster feeder and will nurse every hour from about 5-9pm each night.  She gets up about every 2 hours in the night to feed.
  
• Aspen loves baths (once she was able to be in the baby bath instead of sponge baths).
  

Aspen is very sweet baby.  She is a great addition to our family.  Sophie loves her and constantly tries to play with her.  Sophie is disappointed because I constantly tell her that Aspen is too young for everything.  Here is a picture of Sophie at about the same age for comparison (I think they definitely look similar, but they have a distinct look too).
