Lights at Temple Square

One day after Isaac got home from work we decided to head to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights.  We decided to take Trax because the station is really close to our house (Isaac takes it work almost everyday), and we thought Sophie would have a lot of fun.  Grandpa set up a train around the Christmas tree and Sophie has been obsessed with "choo-choos" ever since. 

Sophie loved Trax.  She was so thrilled to be able to see out the window and not be strapped into her carseat.  I was worried that she would try to run around the whole time, but she just stood on the seat staring out the window.  Every few minutes she would say "choo-choo".  We stopped for dinner at the City Creek Mall.  This was the first time we have been to that mall, and it was really nice inside.

Then we met up with Jamie and her old roommate to walk around Temple Square.  The weather was actually fairly mild that night, although Sophie and I were still bundled up completely.  The lights were really great, and it was fun to let Sophie run around and check everything out (although she ran in front of soooo many people that we were always apologizing for her cutting everyone off).

As we were heading back to catch Trax home we stumbled upon a flaming fountain at City Creek.  It was really cool.  Apparently it is only on fire on the hour, so we were lucky to see it.  Isaac thought that was the coolest thing and told everyone about it for days.
