Merry Christmas! Christmas was a lot of fun out our house this year because Sophie is starting to understand and interact more.
This year Isaac and I decided we would each make one gift for Sophie and buy her one. Isaac made her an amazing rocking horse. (It took him forever to do, but it turned out great!) And he bought her some wooden blocks. I made Sophie some Quiet Books for church and learning activities. (I had been working on them since Sophie was born. I often think I must have been crazy to do them.) And I bought her a little doll and stroller. As soon as Sophie opened her doll, she gave it a hug and kiss. It was so cute.
She was so perfect Christmas morning and would take the time to play with each gift for a few minutes before she would get the next one. She seemed to really enjoy all her gifts. But once we went to visit the extended families, there was just so much excitement and stuff going on that she lost it and would hide out playing in the other room. She loved the presents she got from grandmas and grandpas, but she just didn't get into them much on Christmas day.
(We had our ward Christmas party a few weeks before Christmas. It was going really late, so Isaac and I grabbed a brownie off the dessert table on our way out to eat on the way home. Sophie saw us take one, so she followed us and grabbed one too. In the 10 seconds it took to catch her, this is what she looked like.)
