Kohler, Wisconsin

On Saturday, Isaac, Sophie, and I went to visit the Kohler Factory. This is the same Kohler that makes toilets, so yes, we did go to a toilet factory. I wasn't very excited about this trip, but it actually turned out to be more interesting than I thought. Sophie often entertained herself by sucking on her duck's foot.

On the basement level of the building was a museum where they showed the progress of Kohler through the years. Isaac found it very interesting to learn that they also made farm equipment, generators, motors, and other things besides sinks and toilets.

On the main level were a bunch of really cool sinks, bathtubs, and showers. Many of them are set up so they can be turned on and you can see how they could spray you at every possible angle. Isaac also sprayed Sophie and himself with a bidet toilet--fortunately it is a demo only and completely clean.

On the upper level there are a bunch of incredible model bathrooms to showcase their designs. Some of these bathrooms were bigger than my house. Most of them were so fancy they would only be found in a mansion. The picture of Sophie and me is in front of a really cool bathtub, but Isaac didn't get a good picture of it. Basically it is built like the reflection pond at temple square and the water is perfectly level with the top of the tub. The water that spills over goes into a second tub below. It seems completely wasteful to overfill a tub like that, but it looked incredible.

Then we went to a shopping area to have a picnic lunch. There was a pretty little lake that we walked around before heading home.
