Here are some things about Hazel at 6 and 7 months old:
- Hazel is still my best night sleeper. She sometimes squawks or cries briefly in the night, but it's usually because she has an arm or leg stuck through her crib bars, or she gets stuck on her tummy from rolling over. So we usually just have to go flip her over and put her blanket back on and she will go back to sleep.
- Hazel loves to move. She's rolling all over the place. At first she couldn't control where she was going. She would just start rolling and rolling and would crash into the wall or fireplace. But she quickly started to figure out the correct ways to move. So she's starting to go for things that the other kids are playing with or have left out.
- She is getting really good at sitting up. She only tipped over a few times before seeming to pick it up and can now sit like a champ.
- She love playing with toys and sucking on things.
- Hazel still doesn't seem to like baby food. We try to feed her, but she just doesn't like it. She still prefers nursing.
- Getting pictures of Hazel is becoming really difficult. She wants to move. After almost every shot I take my phone gives me a warning that the picture may have come out blurry.
- Hazel is such a sweet, happy baby. She really doesn't cry much at all. And she has the most beautiful smile. She's started giving really big smiles that scrunch up her nose. And her eyes always twinkle when she smiles. She also has the cutest laugh, but it takes quite a bit to get her laughing really hard.
We love Hazel so much. It's exhausting taking care of four kids, but Hazel is one of the easiest ones. She really is the best baby.
