A few weeks ago Luke got a small cold. He had a stuffy nose and I felt so bad for him. Every time he nursed he would struggle to eat and breathe at the same time. And then he would snuff and snort every time I put him down in his bed. So for about a week or two I would bring him into bed with me at night. It was so weird that when he was in his bed he would struggle to breathe, but as soon as he was laying next to me he would sleep peacefully (although I never could sleep well next to him because I was so worried about him suffocating).
The last few days Luke has been sleeping even better and has made it until 4am for his feeding. He is by FAR my best sleeper. I swear that Sophie and Aspen didn't sleep that long until 9 months.
Other than Luke's 2 smiles around 1 month, he stopped smiling until about 7 weeks old. Now he smiles all the time and often gets such big smiles he has to turn his head because he can't get his mouth open any wider (does that make sense?). It has been so much fun to see him smile and start to interact more. It is also really funny because he doesn't like looking at Isaac. Daddy will come home and try to talk to Luke, and Luke will turn his head to avoid him. I guess that's his way of saying that Daddy isn't home enough.
But I am so thankful for my sweet, mellow little boy. He has been so content and happy. He rarely cries, and when he does it a sweet little whimper that kind-of sounds like a cat purring. He's my darling Little Man and I love him so much.
