Luke is 1 Month

It's crazy how fast a month can go by when I'm not pregnant.  I can't believe Luke is already 1 month old.  He is such a good, good baby.  Luke eats really well and sleeps really well.  He is by far my best sleeper.  We borrowed a bassinet from my parents and let him sleep in our room for the first month.  He can sure make a lot of noise in his sleep.  All night long he is grunting and groaning, but I actually liked having him in my room (he's the first baby we didn't immediately put in the crib).  I was able to ignore his baby sounds most of the time, but if I heard something scary I could just open my eyes to make sure he was okay without having to jump out of bed and run into the next room.

Luke smiled for the first time on February 12th at daddy.  I was annoyed that he would smile for daddy first, since I'm the one who always takes care of him.  But he smiled for me the very next day.  But then we couldn't get him to smile again.

Sophie and Aspen love their little brother--sometimes too much.  And I'm so glad to have my Little Man.  The hardest part about having Luke has been having two other kids to take care of at the same time.  I want to just hold him and snuggle him all day, but I have to constantly take care of the girls too.  I often feel like he is so neglected during the day because he has to spend quite a bit of time in the bouncer.  But I try to make sure and hold him for a few hours each afternoon while he naps and then most of the evening once Isaac is home from work.  I sure do love this little boy.
