Random Happenings

On Monday, Isaac got off work early so we headed to the Milwaukee Public Museum for the afternoon. Sophie fell asleep in her stroller shortly after we arrived. But she woke up when we went into the butterfly room (probably because it was hot and humid in there). I think she must have thought she was still dreaming because she was staring at all the butterflies with a completely bewildered look on her face. She was absolutely fascinated by the butterflies. Fortunately she was still too sleepy to try and grab (or eat) any of the butterflies.


I was shopping for Isaac's Valentine's Day present the other day (fortunately he never checks my blog so he won't know that I got him something) and found this adorable elephant. I couldn't resist buying it for Sophie's V-Day present. I usually don't impulse shop, but I loved stuffed animals as a kid and couldn't resist. Isn't it the cutest toy ever? And it's almost as big as Sophie.

Sophie has been rolling around for a while, but she doesn't seem to enjoy doing it much. She will try to chase after her toys that escape, but she hasn't completely figured out how to aim where she is going so she usually just gets frustrated. This morning she was sitting up in the middle of our living room playing with her toys and I left to go to the bathroom. When I came back in the room she was gone. I freaked out for a nanosecond before I saw that she had rolled half-way under the couch. She was having a great time licking the bottom of the sofa.
