Sophie's personality has already been shining through over the last couple weeks. Here are some things that she does:
- Sophie smiles a lot. Most of the time she smiles as she sleeps, but often she gives us waking smiles. I know they aren't "real" yet, but we still love them. She also has two dimples, but the left one is more pronounced.
- Right after Sophie falls asleep, she goes through a whole range of funny facial expressions. Here are some of them:
- Sophie HATES baths. If you want to hear her pterodactyl screech, then give her a bath. She has been doing better now that she gets real baths, as opposed to sponge baths, but that could be due to being so confused she doesn't know what to do.
- She also doesn't like to have her diaper changed or clothed. She doesn't like to be man-handled.
- Over the last couple days she has really liked being held upright on my shoulder. When I hold her she cuddles right up in fetal position, but when Isaac tries she just pushes off his chest. He doesn't have enough padding.
- She has the craziest hair. I love that she has so much hair, but unfortunately I don't know what to do with it. No matter how soon after I wash it, it looks greasy again. I try to give her a nice fauxhawk, but that's about all I can manage.
- Sophie HATES being swaddled. She loves having her arms free. If you try to restrain them, she won't be a happy baby and will squirm until they get loose. She loves to sleep with both her arms above her head.

I have never seen a baby smile in her sleep so angeically. She really is a beautiful baby, and that is saying something coming from a grandmother of some pretty cute babies.
The Youngberg family is really happy for you and Isaac and Sophie.
