Isaac and I are pleased to announce the arrival of Princess Sophie on August 3, 2011.

After losing Peter and Jane, I desperately wanted to be a mother and see Isaac as the father of our children. I felt as if my life lost its purpose and I didn't want things to go back to the way they were when we were childless. So after meeting with doctors and getting the appropriate medications, we were incredibly blessed to get pregnant again.
Isaac and I are thrilled to be pregnant, but I am constantly scared. I don't consider myself to be a stressed out, anxious, or worried person normally, but every day of this pregnancy has been intense. I am constantly worried about my little girl. I don't trust myself to know what is "normal" or a "warning sign".
I had a cerclage (surgery where they stitch the cervix closed) placed around week 13. The surgery went very well and it gives us hope that I can carry this baby longer than I did Peter and Jane. I also go to the doctor every two weeks for ultrasounds to make sure everything is okay. Isaac and I found out we were having a little girl around week 15, but they weren't totally sure at first. They have confirmed that we are having a girl at least 4 times now, so we are trust that assessment and are thrilled for our baby girl. At my last appointment everything looked great.
As of today, I am 20.5 weeks along. These pictures were taken when I was about 19.5 weeks (for those of you who keep bugging me to know how fat I am). I think I look terrible in these pictures, so if you post mean comments, I will never put more pictures up. :)
Although this is a very scary road we are on, we are hopeful and excited for our little girl. We appreciate the support and prayers of all our family and friends and ask for your continued thoughts as we are reaching the most critical point (weeks 18-24 are the most dangerous with my condition) in my pregnancy. I will try to be better about posting updates for the few people who may actually follow my blog. Until next time.
