Middle East Blizzard
As many of you know, a week or so ago a big blizzard hit the Middle East (I don't consider Milwaukee to be a part of the Midwest. I had to move east to get here, so in my mind we are in the "Middle East"). Isaac and I were both able to stay home from work that day because the whole city practically shut down. It was very fortunate that Isaac was excused from his duties at the hospital because there was no way he would have been able to get the car down the street anyway.
Isaac started the day by going snowshoeing around the neighborhood with a couple of our neighbors. I wasn't feeling very well so I stayed home and took a nap. Then Isaac spent about 3 hours shoveling. The storm was crazy because of the wind. It was hard to tell how much snow actually fell because the winds caused all the old snow to blow off roofs and made drifts 4 feet deep in some areas while the sidewalks were visible in other areas.
