Thanksgiving morning Isaac and I went to go see "New Moon" at the theater. We thought it was terrible. (Granted, we didn't like the first one much, but this one was painful.) Throughout the movie I would look over at Isaac and he would be rolling his eyes and acting like it was the worst punishment I could inflict upon him. I felt so bad, but we had to stick it through to the end. The acting isn't great, but the biggest problem was that the movie was a slow as snot. Seriously, do people really talk that slow? And why don't they put Edward on the same work-out schedule as Jacob? Since when is Edward a skinny, pale, lipstick wearing weakling? I figured out the root of my issues with the movies--the books are written in 1st person, so we are inside Bella's head hearing her thoughts and feeling her emotions. That's not possible in a movie. So instead we have to try and get all the thoughts and emotions from the actor's expressions. That didn't work out very well. Since I am ranting, I also heard they are making "The Host" into a movie. I don't know how they are going to pull that one off, considering half the book is internal dialog between a girl and the alien-thingy possessing her body.
Anyway, this year Isaac and I went to our friend's house for Thanksgiving dinner. We had a delicious meal with great company. Unfortunately my pies didn't turn out great. Better luck next year. And sorry for the lack of pictures, but I forgot my camera.
