Burglar Alert

A few weeks ago, Isaac came home from school and noticed that the screen in our bedroom was ripped. There was a large 6 inch slash all down to the edge of the window. Isaac thought that a burglar had tried to get in.

As Isaac was looking at the window, he notice there was a hawk in our backyard. It had caught another little bird and was eating it. He thought it was interesting, so he took some pictures (seen below).


A little while later, he went outside to look at the slash to figure out how to fix it. He noticed that in the screen meshing there were lots of little feathers. So we came to the conclusion that the hawk must have pinned the little bird against our window when he caught it. In the process, he ripped our screen. We were just glad to know that no one was trying to break into our house. Isaac was able to replace the screen on the window a few days later, so not much harm was done.
