Hiking in Kettle Moraine
On Halloween morning Isaac and I went hiking in the Kettle Moraine State Park with some friends. The weather was a little cold, but it was perfect for hiking in. Unfortunately most of the leaves had already fallen off the trees, so the scenery wasn't amazing. But it was still nice to get out and have some fun.
At the end of our hike, our friends brought some interesting camping hot chocolate drinks I had never seen before. The hot chocolate was in an aluminum can that has a chemical pack on the bottom to heat it up. You just mix the chemicals and wait for the drink to warm. Well, we waited, and waited, and waited until we got bored and drank the drink anyway. The drinks only heated to a luke-warm temperature. But I still thought it was a cool idea. (After looking at the can a little more closely we saw a warning that said something like "Optimal performance temperature 70-75degrees". That's room temperature folks. Who wants hot chocolate when they are camping at room temperature???)
