Devil's Lake

Yesterday Isaac and I drove out to Devil's Lake. The lake is about 2.5 hours outside Milwaukee. The drive out there was one of the most beautiful stretches we have seen since moving here. We were able to drive up and down rolling hills and see lots of farms. We decided that elevation is key to our perception of beauty, because it allow one to have a better view.

After driving out there, we ate a little BBQ lunch before going on a hike. We ended up hiking about 5 miles along a really nice trail. We had to climb up a rock face to get to the top of a bluff--which was the closest thing we have seen to a mountain since moving out here. I was able to use my new digital camera quite a bit on this hike, and I absolutely love it. Below are some of the best pictures.
