Our Christmas Tree

Since Isaac and I finally have room for a full-size Christmas tree, we decided to invest in an artificial tree. We shopped around at many different stores until we found a great tree. We also bought 60 ornaments and 300 lights. But when we opened it at home we found that we greatly under-estimated the size of the tree. This thing is huge! The tree didn't look quite so large at the store, but in our smaller living room it looks gigantic. We had to go back to the store twice to get enough ornaments and lights. It turned out that we put on 800 lights and 120 ornaments. We really like our new tree, but for those of you buying new Christmas tree this year, remember they are bigger than they look.

This is a picture of our new tree. It has a really cool star on top made out of sticks. It is really rustic-looking. We also like our tree skirt because it has pine cones and needles embroidered across the bottom.

Our old tree (the one I have had since I was a teenager) is set up in Isaac's study. It is the perfect size for his lounge. (Sorry the pictures are blurry.)

It's a very nice tree. I love your home, especially the study. I wish I had something like that.

A FAKE TREE!?!?!? What is that? Am I the only one in this world that insists on having a real tree? What happened to good old fashioned piney sappy trees that dry up by the time Christmas gets here and leaves a mess of pine needles to clean up afterward? At least buy a little table one or something GEEZ!
