Weekend with Wolthuis'

Guess who Isaac and I found? The Wolthuis' live in Milwaukee.

Back in the University Village, Isaac and I had some friends who moved off to Milwaukee for nursing school. We thought we would run into them at church if they were still here, but when we didn't see them there we figured they had finished school and moved on. Well, a few weeks later, we were looking through a directory and found out that they still lived here. And they were only living a few blocks away.

This weekend the Wolthuis' took us to the ocean. (Actually it's Lake Michigan, but it's so big that it looks like the ocean. Everyone here calls the lake shore the coast, so it might as well be the ocean.) The lake was really big and blue. The weather outside was a little chilly, but it was nice to get out and see the scenery.

After we saw the ocean, we went up to a little touristy town. We had lunch in a little sandwich show and window shopped down main street. The stores were all really cute, and it was nice to see a part of Wisconsin that wasn't completely getto. We had a really great time.
