Moo's Visit

Last weekend my mom was able to fly to Milwaukee to visit me. Isaac finished all his tests that week, so he had the weekend free to spend with us. This trip was the first time my mom has flown on a plane alone. In fact, it is really the first time she has gone on a trip without my dad (excluding girl's camp). So it was a nice treat to have her stay with us. My mom was able to see where I work, visit Isaac's campus, and see our new house.

On Saturday we took her to see Lake Michigan. It was a really pretty, cool day. We took a few pictures at the beach. The sun was really bright, so we are squinting in most of the pictures.


That afternoon we went to "The Elegant Farmer". It is a local apple orchard and pumpkin batch where you can pick your own apples and pumpkins. There were hundreds of people there, and we weren't expecting it to be so touristy. It was really expensive to pick your own apples, so we just wandered through the orchard. Later my mom bought us some fresh apple cider donuts. They were really tasty.



It was nice to have my mom come visit. I was glad she could see our house and where we are living. It was fun to have family around and be able to catch up and relax all weekend. Hopefully she can come visit again soon.
