We got donuts for breakfast. Yum.
And later we had a few family members over for cake and presents. Hazel did not care about presents at all. I would hand her the gift after opening it and she would just throw it and walk away. She seemed really stuck up, but she was just too little to care. Hazel really is such a sweetheart.
Here are some things about my baby girl.
- Hazel is a total mama's girl. For a while she wouldn't let anyone else hold her, but she's improving in that department. But she still prefers me.
- Hazel loves dogs. Her first "word" was dog. She says "da" and starts making hysterical barking noises.
- Hazel and Luke have a love/hate relationship. Luke is so mean to her and beats on her all the time. He thinks he's playing, but he is terrible. The thing I say more than anything else each day is "Luke, leave her alone!" But Hazel likes to follow him around and he can make her laugh a lot.

- Hazel still isn't walking. She has taken a few steps, sometimes up to 7 or 8, but hasn't "taken off". But I'm ok with that. I gave her a shopping cart to push around to help her learn to walk more.

- Hazel seems to get getting some molars coming in. She has way more teeth than the 2 other babies on our street, Gabby and Indie.
- Hazel loves sucking her 2 fingers on her left hand and is a blanket baby. She has a favorite blanket she like to have with her.

- She is so sweet with stuffed animals. If you hand her one, she instantly tucks it under her chin and hugs it. It's the sweetest thing ever.

- She is a picky eater and doesn't like much bread or meat. She has a definite sweet tooth and loves fruit and marshmallows.

- Hazel loves to swing!

- Hazel is an outside baby. She loves going outside so much. She cries if anyone goes in the garage without her. And she always stands by the sliding door to go play in the backyard.

Update:
Hazel started walking at 13 months, about 1 month after her birthday. She was a little slow picking it up, but now prefers walking to crawling.
And now Hazel is 14.5 months old. This girls is a handful. She is into everything all the time. I've used elastics to keep her out of all the cupboard I can, but she has a sixth sense for when I forget to put one back on. She's also started climbing everything she can. She climbs into my bathtub with her clothes on and turns on the water. She can now climb onto the kitchen table, and she dumped Luke's bowl of soup on the floor as Isaac and I were trying to clean up dinner one night. She also pushed chairs over to things she wants to try and climb and get it herself. But she's super quiet and sneaky. Hazel doesn't talk much still, but she can say "Mama" and "Dada" and "da" (dog). She says "mama" all day long. And she can tell you what the fish and elephant say.
But Hazel is so good and happy most of the time. We love our baby girl so much.
