Garage Door

I swear Isaac and I have the worst luck. I thought that after the hit-and-run incident a few months ago that we would be lucky for a while. But they say that bad luck comes in 3's. We have had 2 out of 3. So hopefully the 3rd curse will be mild.
A couple weeks ago the people who live behind us drove through our garage door. One morning at 6:00am our doorbell rang. Isaac was in the shower and I was still asleep. I got out of bed to answer the door, but by the time I got there no one was there. About 30 min. later someone range the doorbell again. This time Isaac tried to answer the door, but by the time he got there he saw some guy get in his car and drive away. He thought it looked like the boyfriend of the lady behind us. I told Isaac to go to the garage and see if everything was okay. And what do you know, he totally smashed it in.

He had to have hit the door at a fairly high speed because you could step through the garage door in two places. So we had to rip off the door so I could get the car out and go to work. Then Isaac had to move everything from the garage to our basement so it wouldn't get stolen. Our garage was open to the world for about a week, but has since been repaired. The guy's insurance covered most of it, but they look up the cost of an equivalent door and then subtract depreciation, and we had to pay the difference. We ended up having to pay about $40 out of pocket. It just ticks me off that I can be sleeping soundly in bed while someone damages my property, and I have to pay anything for it. How does that make sense? Insurance is stupid.

That is so aweful! Well at least you know what the 3rd thing was and now you can breathe a sign of relief!
