A few weeks ago, my friend, her kids, Isaac, and I went to a farm to do some apple picking. It was really fun to have the girls go with us. Without them, Isaac and I would have been done picking in 10 minutes, and it would have been really boring. But it was a lot of fun to help them pick the apples. At one point I put my friend's daughter on my shoulders so she could pick the apples. She would hold on to my chin, and when the apple would come off the tree, she would hit me in the forehead. It was really funny. The only bad part was that it was freezing cold while we were out there.

After we picked the apples, we went back to my house to make applesauce. After a busy afternoon and the following evening, we ended up making 39 quarts of applesauce. That took way more work than we anticipated, so we will probably cut back next year.
